ORGANISATIONS TO STRENGHTEN AND IMPROVE THEIR COMMUNITIES
The NAG office is always a hub of activity as organisations drop in for assistance. Capturing data on all our members and updating the NAG database keep us busy as well.
Facilitating network opportunities for our members to learn from each other and to engage with significant stakeholders is the core business of NAG. We currently co-ordinate general CBO meetings, an OVC Forum and local CBO clusters.
FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAMME
This is an exciting and innovative programme through which we develop and place rural young leaders in CBOs. Both parties benefit as it inspires the young participants to get involved in their communities at the same time as it provides a much needed boost in the organisations.
THE ECD STRENGHTENING PROGRAMME
NAG is very pleased to roll out this programme as it adds skills and resources to 100 ECD sites in our network. We are also committed to facilitate long term support for these organisations to implement what they have learnt.
THE IMS PROGRAMME
This programme is being piloted in UGU District by Ilifa Labantwana and NAG. The aim is to co-work with DSD in order to achieve a more efficient system in terms of registrations and DSD subsidies for ECD sites. We feel that this is ground breaking as it adresses one of the main blockages that our members are facing.
NAG participates in various forums such as the District Task Team for Operation Sukume Sakhe. We also make sure to build good relationships with all stakeholders in the district on an ongoing basis. This enables us to raise issues on behalf of CBO’s.
and encourage stakeholders to engage with our members.
Some of our partners include Feed the Babies, Ilifa Labantwana and Nalibali. NAG enter in to these partnerships in order to accumulate resources and skills for our member organisation.
